DAY 01: ADDIS ABABA---HAWASSA

In the morning, drive to the south via Addis-Butajira road. Here, you will visit the archaeological site of Melka Kunture and Tiya stele and a series of Rift Valley lakes and abundant bird life. The continue driving to Hawassa. O/N at Haile Gebresellase Resort and Spa or similar. 

 

 DAY 02: HAWASSA---WONDO GENET-- LANGANO

In the morning, drive back to Langano via Wondo Genet and a few hours stay in Wondo Genet. This place is one of the sites for forest birds include Endemic bird such as Yellow Fronted Parrot, Abyssinia Oriole, Black winged love birds. Another thing enjoy and swimming volcanic hot spa. In the late afternoon, drive to Langano, en route visiting Abijjaita-Shalla Lakes National Park to see the in the park for many species of aquatic birds, particularly great white pelicans and greater and lesser flamingoes, Ostrich Farming, and also endemic mammals such Warthogs, Grand Gazelles and others which are available there. Day 03: LANGANO---ADDIS

In the morning stay in Langano, enjoying swimming and in the afternoon depart to Addis via Debrezeit en route visit Lake Ziway’s aquatic birds and continue to Debre Zeit Crater Lakes and have your lunch there and then drive to Addis.

Day 04: LANGANO---ADDIS--DEPARTURE

DAY01: ADDIS---HOSSANA

After breakfast drive to the south via Addis-Butajira road. Here, you will visit the archaeological site of Melka Kunture, Adadi Mariam Monastry,Tiya stele and through the beautiful mountainous   country side which inhabited by the Gurage people all the way to Hosanna. DAY 02: HOSSANA--ARBAMINCH

Morning drive to Arba Minch on the way visiting of more Hadiya People & their respected Village, and also before reaching to Arba Minch, you will drive 35 km through another junction to visit the tribal village of Chencha who are known as Dorze People. This tribe is known for its art of weaving and unique house building. Here you will see also the preparation of false banana how it is scrapped and used to be bread and porridge. DAY 03: ARBAMINCH (NETCHSAR NATIONAL PARK & LAKE CHAMO)

 

Morning drive to the Netchsar National park where you find the panoramic view and many wild animals such as Burchill Zebra, Swayne’s Hartebeest, grant’s Gazelle, Lesser and Greater Kudu. In the afternoon, you will have a boat ride on Lake Chamo to see the Hippos and Nile Crocodiles. O/N at Paradise Hotel or similar.

 

DAY 04:  ARBAMINCH---JINKA

Drive to Jinka enroute visiting of different tribal villages and their way of life. On the way, you meet the tribes of Giddole, Derashe, Konso, Tsemay, Benna and Ari. O/N at Jinka Resort  or Eyob hotel or similar.

 

DAY 05: JINKA-Mago National Park—JINKA

 

Drive to the Mursi people by crossing the Mago National Park. The Mursi are the people mostly known by using clay and wooden lip plate on their lip and ear lobes. And then attend the village of Key-Afer, more than three tribes congregated for Thursday market, namely Ari, Benna, Hammar, Tsemay and Mali with their unique decoration can easily identified here. Then drive back to Jinka in the afternoon visit of Jinka Museum. O/N Jinka Resort or similar. 

 

DAY 06: JINKA--- TURMI

 

Drive to Turmi through the villages of Ari, Benna and Hammer. Then, drive to Turmi. O/N  Buska Lodge or similar.

 

DAY 07:  SATURDAY TURMI—Murule-- TURMI

 

Drive to Murulle to visit the Karo village at Korecho. En route attend the Saturday market at Dimeka. After a picnic lunch, you will cross the Omo River to visit the Bume people at Kangate. Then, drive back to Turmi. O/N Buska Lodge or similar.

 

DAY 08: TURMI—Omorate-- TURMI

 

Morning drive through the lush forest to Omorate. Then, crossing the Omo River with wooden ferry to visit the Dasenetch tribal villages. Then, drive back to Turmi. O/N Buska Lodge or similar.

 

DAY 09: TURMI---- YABELLO

 

Drive to through the Woyto plain and visiting the Elbore tribal village, also visit Konso villages and their age old astonishing terracing practices, and also attend the Monday market at Turmi and Konso then further drive to Yabello along the scenic route, on the way visit of Borenna Oromo People at their respected village. O/N Yabello Motel or similar.

 

DAY 10: YABELLO--- YIRGALEM

 

Early morning drive to the Salt mines of the Borena people which they call it ‘Elsod’ and to the singing wells of the Borena people. Then drive to Yirgalem through the coffee forest at Yirgalem and Dila, and enroute visiting the stele of Tutu Fella, the old burial site of the Gedeo people . O/N at Argegash Lodge or similar.

 

DAY 11: YIRGALEM—WONDOGENT

 

After breakfast drive to Wondogent along the scenic road, In the after noon walking in the forest which is heaven for bird life and relax in the natural hot spring bath’s and swimming pool. The surrounding vegetation and favorable climate offers great relaxation. Colombus and velvet Monkey are frequently observed, O/N at Wabi Shebelle Hotel.

 

DAY 12: WONDOGENT-- ADDIS

 

After breakfast drive to Addis via Shashamene with lunch stops through the rift valley lakes enjoying their scenic beauty along with the different specie of birds.  There is also the Abijjata Shalla National Park that comprises the two Soda Lakes together with their abundant bird life, Antelopes, and the Ostrich Farm that worth to be visited. After visit and enjoyed at this ideal places drive back to Addis en route visiting the creator Lakes around Debrezeit before arriving in Addis. O/N at Addis.

 

DAY 13:  ADDIS

Addis Ababa city tour that includes, National Museum exhibiting historical, Archeological, pale-ontological (Lucy or Dinqinesh)  and many other findings. The Trinity cathedral famous for its unusual Ethiopian church architecture, Ethnological museum, Markato the biggest open market in East Africa, visit of Yakka Mikael, driving through the main street & avenues, Churchill road and also Addis gives you time for a little exploring into this fascinating city and perhaps a little souvenir shopping –gold, silver, jewelers, leatherwork, materials, art works to name but a few. DAY SEVEN: TURMI---ARBAMINCH

Drive back to Addis Ababa through the Great Rift Valley Lakes and enjoying their scenic beauty along with the different species of birds.
